“Let me start by saying this was a great tour but it was done economically. Which means lots of walking and public transport. Our guide Petra was really good and was passionate about the subject matter. We walked to train station and got on a train, coach class, for about an hour. Then we transferred to a local bus for 1.8 miles. Then it was walking all around the camp. On the way back it was bus train and then was left to find way back to town center. It was exhausting day for us but we’re older and we’re worn down. We did notice other tours there with busses…”

States will visit SS Camp headquarters , you do not. States will visit Gestapo prison cells you do not. “Michael - our tour guide- was very knowledgeable about the terezin fortress and concentration camp. my wife and I were the only ones on the tour so it made for a more intimate experience. the concentration camp portion of our tour was very somber, but also very informative. the terezin fortress section of our tour (which came after the concentration tour) was also very detailed. the only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because the fortress part of our tour lasted just a bit too long. we toured some of the tunnels of the fortress and after awhile my wife and I got a little claustrophobic.
