“My partner and I opted for the hiking option. We go on hikes once every few months or so and we have done some difficult hikes that take us up to 6-7 hours. The Bastei is very doable for all fitness levels, minimal incline and steps. The sandstone arch took us around 50-60 mins on the way up. It was quite tiring as it’s uphill the whole way. “I was very disappointed with our guide and how he paid attention to our needs, we had two vans of people and he drove with the others leaving 6 of us with a non English speaking driver, when we met up at the park he just took off and 4 of us had trouble finding him, The things were okay until after lunch unfortunately we were unable to do the more difficult hikes and had been told that we would be accommodated but that wasn’t the case, one person had a recent knee injury and the other had knee replacement and 4 of us didn’t feel comfortable on the gorge…”
